INSPIRATION BEHIND THE SONOR SKIRT
Lilya lived with her mother, called Frigg. Now Frigg has a reputation of knowing every person’s destiny, but she never unveils it. Frigg was so burdened with this knowledge that she passed some of it down to Lilya to keep and gave her big pockets to carry these in. When Lilya put the big pocket skirt on she realised that she was going to control her own destiny and this is the way it should be. So she set out on her travels with this new knowledge, making decisions that will control her own fate.
Each collection is inspired by a Saga written by the designer Kimberley Stacey. The Sonor Skirt is part of the Lilya Saga Collection. Lilya is a strong Icelandic woman that travels to Sweden and discovers a hotel made of Ice.
